Upon arrival, you'll notice the peaceful feeling and lush tropical foliage that surrounds the house, including colorful hibiscus, beautiful Ti, ginger, plumerias, traditional Hawaiian plants and tall, delicate palm trees. You are also surrounded by herb and vegetable gardens and variety of fruit trees, including 8 varieties of mango, 3 varieties of banana, 2 variety of avocado, coconut, moringa, papaya, tangelo, lemon, lime, tangerine, suriname cherry, ulu (breadfruit), figs, lilikoi (passionfruit), hawaiian chili pepper, lemongrass, kafir lime, ginger, tumeric. We offer fresh fruit from the farm available for sale at lower than market rates.

Where are we located?We are located in Kealakekua Bay on the big island of Hawai’i.

Check in & check out timesCheck in is at 3pm and check out 11am. We can sometimes accommodate an early check in and late check out if you ask us in advance.

Wi-FiWe provide guests with our wi-fi login 3 days prior to check in of reservation. The Mango Farm wi-if is complimentary to your visit.

How close are the units next to each other?The Mango Farm is 1.7 acreas with 3 rentals, care taker cabin, and mango house. Bohemian Retreat is its own unit with two floors. The lush plants help give it a private outdoor experience. Gardenview and Oceanview are located in the same unit. Gardenview is located on the first floor with lush plants surrounding the outdoor living area. Gardenview‘s ground-level space is private to only that guest and does not include any shared spaces except the laundry at the rear (outside) of the unit. The 2nd/3rd level of the home Oceanview vacation rental and also does not include any shared spaces.

When is the best time to visit?The Mango Farm is delightful to visit anytime of year! The benefits to visiting in the summer time is typically more of a fruit selection and mango can be in season. The benefits to visiting during the winter time is the temperatures are cooler and the beaches tend to be a bit calmer then in the summer.

Are children allowed?We market more towards couples and adults. However, we highly recommend you looking into other vacation rentals that are set up to assure you and your family have an enjoyable experience. The cabins are not suitable for children and infants. There are no safety gates for stairs and no secured storage for all household cleaning products. Stoves, cookers, kettles, and other things with safety risks do not have children's locks.

Are your cabins wheel chair accessible?Unfortunately our cabins are not wheel chair accessible due to the stairs and steps. We hope to better accommodate everyone and convert Gardenview to be wheel chair accessible in the future.

What’s your policy for cancellations and rescheduling requests?50% refund if you cancel 30 days or more before reservation date. No refund if you cancel less then 30 days before reservation date.
